New York, 1940

This is one of the more commonly-seen poses from the 1940 Daily News color session. It even appeared on the cover of their Sunday weekly in February 1941 (click here). However in that version his eyes looked brown. That is not the case here.

Chaplin is photographed at the News Color Studio in NYC, October 14th, 1940

Two days after his arrival in New York for the premiere of The Great Dictator, Charlie posed for a series of color portraits at the Daily News Color Studio. Note that he is wearing the same suit that he had on in the photos from his arrival at LaGuardia (click here).
