List of dates for live orchestral screenings of Chaplin films

I can't believe there will be a screening of The Gold Rush in KY. I'm purchasing tickets now!

Hopefully there will be one near you.

  1. Jess, I also live in Kentucky! I am super pumped as well. I also have family in Chicago so I get to go to the one there as well! I haven't seen "City Lights" so I am so pumped!

    1. Hello, fellow Kentuckian! You've never seen "City Lights"? Well, you are in for a real treat--plus you will get to see it with a live orchestra. It doesn't get any better than that.

  2. How fun! I don't see anything very close to me here in Minnesota. I just emailed my local independent movie theaters that often show classics to see if they have anything planned for later this year. I hope so. I'm also planning on going to the Kansas Silent Film Festival Feb 28-March 1. They are showing The Masquerader with live accompaniment and Modern Times with Charlie's original score (not played live, unfortunately). Carrie

    1. Wow, "The Masquerader," that's an odd one to be shown with live accompaniment. Hopefully new dates will be added to the list of live screenings. I was shocked to find one in KY--and right here in my hometown.

    2. You're from Lexington? Really? I can't believe that someone is super fan of Charlie lives so close to me. Holy crap. I live in Campbellsville (small town, middle of nowhere) so if I go to that one it will be a drive. I'm in college so I may have to be picky between Lexington and Chicago. Lexington will be cheaper but I have seen the Gold Rush already.

    3. I know all about Campbellsville, I have friends from there. I think you should see "City Lights" since you haven't seen it before. The first time I saw it was at the Kentucky Theater in Lexington (without an orchestra).
