Andy Anderson, Charlie, & Paulette, 1933

Andy Anderson, a former Keystone Kop, was the skipper of Charlie's yacht, Panacea.

  1. again, she just can't take a bad photo. Hate her for this. No makeup, on the open sea, and just looks great.

    1. I don't know if you've ever seen "All At Sea," Alistair Cooke's home movie from this same time period. Paulette looks gorgeous from start to finish--even when her hair is wet. Of course, Charlie's very attractive too.

  2. I saw it on YouTube a few years back - I remember thinking the same thing then! She's sitting on Chaplin's lap, diving into the sea, laying about while they sail and damn, not a bad shot at ALL! Charlie looks, in my opinion, the best he ever did - his gray curls, that white sweater and his relaxed manner make him very attractive.
