On the set of Sunnyside with Olive Burton, Willie Mae Carson & Olive Ann Alcorn

Bottom: Charlie Chaplin: A Photo Diary by Michael Comte

  1. The second photo reminds me of Prince, the pop star. I do see some of the same traits in both stars--short, graceful, charismatic, incredibly driven, rather androgynous men who have a way with the ladies.

  2. I totally agree, Carrie. Both men also liked to be in total control of their art. The same way Charlie wore many hats when making his films (writing, directing, editing, scoring), Prince played all of the instruments on his records, sang all of the vocals, & wrote and arranged the music.
